KSB Scholarship 2024

Initiated in the academic year 2006–07, the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme seeks to support dependent wards and widows of former Coast Guard and Ex-Servicemen in their pursuit of higher technical and professional education. Scholarship Opportunities:

• Total Scholarships: 5500 wards/widows of Ex-servicemen selected annually.
• Division: Scholarships are equally divided between boys and girls (2750 each).
• Duration: Scholarships awarded for 1 to 5 years, based on course length approved by regulatory bodies.
• Payment: Scholarship amount paid annually.

1. Boys: ₹2500 per month
2. Girls: ₹3000 per month

Students who are Eligible for Scholarship:

• Only first-year students are eligible (except for those enrolled in integrated courses and lateral entry).
• Online applications are accepted through the KSB website, ksb.gov.in.
• 60% or above minimum GPA required for 10+2, diploma, or graduation
• Students in their second year or later are not eligible, with the exception of integrated courses.
• Widows and dependent wards of former Coast Guard members and ex-servicemen are eligible; wards of civilians and paramilitary personnel are not.

Priority for Scholarship Award:

• Category 1: Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel killed in action.
• Category 2: Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in action and boarded out of service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard service.
• Category 3: Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel who died while in service for causes attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
• Category 4: Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
• Category 5: Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel in receipt of gallantry awards.
• Category 6: Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel (PBOR Only).

Acknowledgement of Scholarship Amount from Students:

• Students need to amend Column 14 of the Renewal Application when KSB provides the scholarship amount.
• Using the given Log ID and Password, they may accomplish this by signing into their KSB account.
• The “DATE OF PAYMENT AND AMOUNT RECEIVED” must entered in two different columns.
• Maintaining PMSS eligibility requires compliance with an audit requirement.
• Scholarships will canceled if this information is not updated, and any money that has already awarded will reimbursed.
• Column 14 has a SAVE BUTTON located at the bottom.
