TN RTE Admission: Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, parents in Tamil Nadu may start applying online for their children’s admission to private schools on April 22. The admission schedule supplied by the private school directors states that the application date is May 20. They can apply at rte.tnschools.gov.in to achieve this. On May 23, details about the applications that were approved and denied will posted on the website. If more applications than available seats are received by the schools, a lottery will take place on May 25. The selection list will released to the public on May 27. Enrollment is required by May 31st.

TN RTE Admission 2024-25:

Tamil Nadu State is one of the states in which the Indian government has implemented the Right to Education (RTE) Act. The RTE Act requires private schools to reserve 25% of their spaces for students from economically and socially disadvantaged families.

Therefore, starting in 2024, Tamil Nadu residents who are interested in applying to this program can do so.

Private schools are required by the RTE Act to set aside 25% of their opening-grade (LKG and Class I) seats for children from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Approximately 8,000 private schools have more than 94,000 seats available for the RTE quota this year.

Objective Of TN RTE Admission:

Ensuring that all children get free and obligatory education is the primary goal of TN RTE Admission. Students from economically disadvantaged groups and sections will eligible for free education up until the age of 14 . The state’s literacy rate would rise as a result of the Tamil Nadu RTE admission program.  Eligibility Criteria for TN RTE Admission 2024-25:

• The candidate has to a Tamil Nadu permanent resident.
• All the children of parents falling under the economically weaker section, disadvantaged group, disadvantaged group special category can apply under this scheme.
• Children with disabilities, wards of scavengers, and HIV-positive individuals will given preference.
• The family’s yearly income cannot more than Rs 2 lakh.
• For admission in LKG, the date of birth of the child must between 31st July 2017 to 31st July 2018
• For admission in 1st standard, the date of birth of the child must between 31st July 2015 to 31st July 2016
• Applicants from BC-others, MBC, ST, SC-others, SC-arunthathiyar, OC, DNC (Denotified communities), a social category not disclosed are eligible to apply
